The Greater Peoria Family YMCA offers financial assistance to those in need. Membership and enrollment in programs are open to all, with no one denied membership.

There is a one-time processing fee for as long as the membership remains continuous. If the membership is allowed to expire, this fee must be re-paid at the time of purchase of a new membership.

The YMCA financial assistance program is for adult, single parent family, families, and senior members.  Scholarships are made possible through support of our annual Invest in Youth Campaign.

Family memberships

  • Family: $64.  Two married adults with or without dependents up to 18 years of age or in college/ trade school full time up to the age of 23, living at the same address.
  • Adult Age 18 and over: $46
  • Senior: $32
  • Senior Couple: $46
  • Single Parent Family:$50

Guest Policy

At the start of a membership, each membership is given two free guest passes per membership per year. These passes are kept on file in our computerized member database. A guest may also purchase a guest pass for $10. A member may bring a maximum of two guests per visit. All guests are required to fill out a guest card and to have a photo ID with them. Guests must be accompanied by a YMCA member. Each guest MUST have a guest card on file to participate in facility activities.

Membership Cancellation

Members may cancel their membership by completing a Membership Cancellation Request Form at the front desk. Members must give the YMCA 30 days written notice of cancellation. If you cancel and reapply again within a 12 month period, you will be required to pay for the entire year in full plus the applicable joiner’s fee or a seasonal membership applicable. NO REFUNDS ARE ISSUED.

AWAY Policy

The Greater Peoria Family YMCA participates in the National YMCA AWAY (Always Welcome At YMCAs) program and the Illinois YMCA membership reciprocity program. AWAY members are welcome to use our facilities 12 times per calendar year. A fee of $10 per visit will be charged after the 12th visit.

Each YMCA develops its own policies for administering the AWAY program. For that reason, we suggest you contact the YMCA you are visiting ahead of time to verify their policies. YMCAs that participate in the AWAY program are listed on the YMCA of the USA web site. Go to www.ymca.net and click on “Find Your Y”. Participating YMCAs are highlighted.

Totwatch

As a convenience to parents, the Greater Peoria Family YMCA offers the affordable program which allows parents to work out knowing their child is in good care. Parents must be in the building in order to use this service, which operates on a walk-in,first come, first serve basis. Services are for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years.

Times Available: Mon-Fri  8:30am-11:00am     Mon-Thurs 5:00pm-8:00pm   Cost: $1.00 per child each visit
